The QiPao Culture Month has been successfully operating since 2016. It received global recognition from both the overseas communities and the governments. This recurring event has since developed its unique edge, using fashion, lifestyle, art and many more to raise awareness for the Asian American culture.
Despite the COVID-19 interruption, we continue to strive to bring social engagements online. We believe that the people need a sense of community now more than ever.
The San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee once said, QiPao is a type of traditional garment that expresses the unique style of Asian women. The first QiPao Culture Month took place in San Francisco in 2016. It showcased the cultural diversity of the city. Mayor Lee also announced April 14th to be the official SF Chinese QiPao Day.旧金山“中国旗袍日”。
