The official online contest for the 5th International QiPao Culture Month is kicking off on April 14th, 2020. Currently, many parts of the world has entered into an emergency state facing the global pandemic. Many cities and states in the U.S. issued stay-at-home orders until May. For many people, it would be a unique experience of their lifetime.

This large-scale writing contest is themed around this special spring to summer transition. Many people are currently adjusting to the work from home lifestyle, their kids may be taking online classes. Isolation at home means there are more time to finish put away tasks and develop new hobbies, such as reading, cleaning, baking or writing. Others may experienced kindness from neighbors and local communities in this time of need through donations and help. This contest encourages participants to document their observations, thoughts and anecdotes through the special time period in words, images or even multi-media formats.
